Messing around I've came across a fix, worked for me and confirmed by another player who restored 3 low orbit base computers that had vanished, allowing him to finally delete them. I know this has happened to others and from searching there didn't seem to be a fix. The icon was there but the computer was invisible and therefore couldn't be interacted with.
